Read An Opinion On:
By Janet Sommers
Anyone would agree that the Jenny Craig Weight Loss program is getting a lot of publicity lately but the question is does this program deserve all the hype going on around it? It sure is getting a lot of new customers. The program’s endorsers did not do a bad job in making people aware of the fantastic things this weight loss program could do to them. Kirstie Alley, Valerie Bertinelli and the recent addition to the group, Queen Latifah have almost sworn to the public that this weight loss program truly works. While most people would believe just about everything a celebrity says some would do otherwise. They, instead, would check on the program and see if it indeed works.
That is what some experts did and the result they gathered lead to only one conclusion: the Jenny Craig Weight Loss program simply does not work and the company will never be able to fulfill its promise to their passionate customers. Not because they are not willing to, it is just because their program is based on an entirely wrong principle. They are not to be blamed so much however for their principle just sprung from a myth that has been here for decades. They based their program simply on the idea that in order to lose weight, one should avoid eating fatty foods. Now, low fat diets have been popular for over 15 years-it is a wonder why the number of overweight individuals keeps on increasing year after year.
That should be enough to convince anyone that a purely low fat menu would not do much on getting rid of body fats but there are still two other things to consider. This Jenny Craig Weight Loss program presents their customers pre-packaged foods in such small servings claiming that the fewer calories they consume, the more weight they will lose. No one should be fooled by this except when one is utterly desperate to become thinner. It is a well-known fact that consuming lesser amount of calories than your body requires would slow down your metabolism, therefore making the fat in your body stay much longer. Calorie intake actually speeds up the fat burning mechanism of your body and without the necessary amount of calories, you would not be able to lose weight. So while you are starving yourself under this Jenny Craig Weight Loss program, you are actually eliminating any chance of weight loss.
And an even more absurd thing the Jenny Craig Weight Loss continues to advocate is the idea of a low carb diet. While this may be efficient in lessening the fat in the body, it is almost impossible to follow. Carbohydrates provide the body energy to function and with such a low amount of it, how could any person perform his daily tasks? A low carb diet is almost a suicide attempt.
That just proves that the Jenny Craig Weight Loss program does not really work for long-term purposes. It is just a money-making scheme that aims to rip their customers off of money by requiring them to eat food that is both expensive and unbeneficial to the desired weight loss.
This could be avoided entirely by going for another program, a program that bases its plan on a sound principle that is guaranteed to produce positive results. The Fat Loss for Idiots does not focus on less fat intake, instead it presents a diet that burns the fat in the body so fast an average of nine pounds could be taken away n just 11 days.
